THEATRE PLAYS
Pinacos
An immersive, multidisciplinary show that shines a light on forgotten women artists.
An artistic performance combining theater, painting, performance, visual poetry, dance, and music. Eleven actors and a cellist craft a unique experience for the audience, generating diverse perspectives and offering a vision that is at times critical, at times forgiving, and at moments playful. A truly unique show—occasionally irreverent, passionate, and rich with meaning—rooted in the technique of the Tableau Vivant.
ARTISTIC AND TECHNICAL SHEET
The work is neither theater nor opera, neither performance nor a visual poem, but all of those combined. It is a fusion of performing arts that unite to create a unique experience for the audience. Rather than merely being presented according to the artist’s chosen technique, the paintings collectively tell a story that unfolds over the course of the performance.
Although the production takes place within the framework of the Tableau Vivant technique, the key is to stay open to all possibilities. Canvases come alive to show us, in all their starkness, the opportunity to take a critical, forgiving, or humorous view of the action. The life of the canvas belongs not only to acting, but to the sum of all the arts coming together to create another perspective we might never have considered before.
